Job summary

Insight Global in Florida is seeking a Project Engineer to provide technical support to project management, construction supervision, and field teams to ensure work is performed in compliance with project specifications, drawings, schedules, and applicable codes.

You will coordinate changes, manage documents, assist with budgeting and cost tracking, and support subcontractors across large industrial construction projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of construction/manufacturing equipment, drawings, specs, and industry standards.
• Understanding of cross-functional interaction among engineering, construction, and project teams.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations, including trigonometry.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with estimating, scheduling, budgeting, and cost control concepts.
• Proficiency with MS Office; Primavera P6 experience preferred.
• Experience with InEight and COINS or similar construction PM software.
• Experience supporting large industrial construction projects.
• Experience with field engineering, quality inspections, or constructability reviews.
• Familiarity with project controls, document control, and subcontractor management.
• Experience supporting schedule development and project forecasting.

Responsibilities

The Project Engineer will be heavily involved in project coordination, change management, document control, budgeting, scheduling, cost tracking, subcontractor support, and quality assurance. • Knowledge of estimating, scheduling, budgeting, and cost control concepts
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard business software - Experience with Primavera P6
• Experience with InEight (listed as Innate) and COINS or similar construction/project management software
• Experience supporting large industrial construction projects
• Experience performing field engineering, quality inspections, or constructability reviews
• Familiarity with project controls, document control, and subcontractor management
• Experience supporting schedule development and project forecasting
• Exposure to complex, schedule-driven environments with critical milestones
