Job summary

MMR Group in Clinton, MS is seeking a Project Engineer to manage project engineering workflows, including RFIs, submittals, document control, and design clarifications. You will support procurement, track scope changes, and prepare installation work packages alongside construction and quality teams.

You'll coordinate drawings and engineering communications, assist with turnover and closeout documentation, and help field teams with BOMs and change management while ensuring client reporting is

Qualifications

  • BS in Construction Management or related field is required or preferred.
  • Experience in electrical and instrumentation construction is desirable.
  • Industrial construction experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge in estimating, scheduling, and purchasing is required.
  • Ability to read electrical drawing packages and specifications.
  • MS Office skills are expected; Primavera P6 is preferred.
  • Ability to read CPM schedules and identify critical paths.
  • Independent, with strong organization and time management.
  • Excellent communication skills and flexibility with hours.
  • Good attendance and reliability are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Job Description:

MMR is seekingProject Engineercandidates to manage project engineering workflows including RFIs, submittals, document control, designclarifications, material procurement support, scope tracking, installation work packages, reporting, andcoordination with construction and quality teams.The responsibilities would include, but not limited to, the following:

  • Manage RFIs, submittals, and design clarifications.
  • Maintain document control and tracking logs.
  • Support procurement and material expediting.
  • Coordinate drawing revisions and engineering communications.
  • Track scope changes and assist with change documentation.
  • Support turnover and closeout documentation.
  • Build and maintain installation work packages.
  • Coordinate with construction, quality, and safety departments to generate weekly and monthlyreports consisting of project status and financials.
  • Ensure Field Engineers perform installation audits and tracking updates for accurate clientreporting.
  • Assist Superintendents, Procurement, and Logistics team with bill of material for installationwork packages.
  • Assist Assistant Project Managers with design revisions and change management process.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor and upper management.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • BS in Construction Managementor related field
  • Experienceinelectrical and instrumentation constructionpreferred
  • Experience in industrial construction is preferred
  • Must have knowledge in estimating, scheduling, and purchasing
  • Ability to read and understand electrical drawing packages and specifications
  • Working knowledge of MS Office software
  • Experience with Primavera P6 preferred
  • Ability to read and understand a CPM schedule andidentifycritical paths
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize, organize, problem solve, and exercise good judgement with minimal supervision
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively under time pressure and/or deadline
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Willingness to work flexible,varyinghours, including evenings and weekends as needed
  • Regular and reliable attendance at work
