Job description

Build your construction career from the ground up.

Straticon is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Project Engineer to support our project teams in the planning and execution of construction projects.

This is an entry-level, developmental role for someone eager to learn the business from the ground up—managing project documentation, tracking RFIs and submittals, and keeping communication flowing between the field, the office, and the design team. You will report to the Project Manager and work closely with the Assistant Project Manager and field staff through every phase of construction.

WHAT YOU WILL OWN
  • Organization and maintenance of project documentation, including drawings, RFIs, submittals, and daily logs.
  • Preparing and tracking Requests for Information (RFIs) and supporting communication with the design team.
  • Distribution and control of construction documents, ensuring the team works from current plans and specifications.
  • Up-to-date records and logs for inspections, submittals, RFIs, and change orders.
  • Participating in jobsite meetings and preparing and distributing meeting minutes.
  • Reviewing plans and specifications to understand scope, materials, and methods of construction.
  • Coordination and follow-up of submittals with subcontractors and design consultants.
  • Preparing and updating portions of the project schedule in coordination with the project team.
  • Permit tracking and supporting documentation for inspections and approvals.
  • Supporting jobsite safety by participating in safety meetings and maintaining safety documentation.
  • Documenting daily project progress, including taking and organizing photos and field notes.
  • Assembling project closeout documentation such as warranties, manuals, and as-builts.
  • Assisting with additional responsibilities as assigned by the Project Manager or Assistant Project Manager.
