About the Role

Barth Electric is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Project Engineer to support the planning, coordination, and execution of electrical construction projects. This role assists project managers, estimators, and field teams by providing technical support, preparing documentation, managing project details, and ensuring smooth project workflow. The ideal candidate is organized, eager to learn, and capable of handling multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist Project Managers with project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and documentation.
  • Review drawings, specifications, and other technical documents to support project execution.
  • Coordinate procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontracts.
  • Prepare and track RFIs, submittals, transmittals, and change order documentation.
  • Support project scheduling efforts and monitor progress with internal teams and subcontractors.
  • Maintain accurate project records, logs, and reports.
  • Assist with job site visits to gather data, verify progress, and support field operations.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, suppliers, and team members.
  • Help ensure compliance with safety standards, quality expectations, and company procedures.
  • Provide administrative and technical support to assist in the overall success of each project.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent relevant experience).
  • Experience in electrical construction, commercial construction, engineering, or similar technical environments.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes or willingness to learn electrical systems.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic project management tools; familiarity with AutoCAD or Bluebeam is a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to visit job sites as needed.
Preferred Attributes
  • EIT certification, internship experience, or exposure to electrical contracting.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Team‑oriented mindset with a proactive, resourceful approach.
