Job summary

RGBSI in Houston, TX is seeking an entry-level Project Engineer to support the Gas and Liquids Pipeline projects through planning, design, cost estimating, risk assessment, and pre-sanction stages.

You will work with stakeholders, develop schedules and cost estimates, prepare charters for ROO to Class 3 scope, and report to senior management on project progress.

Qualifications

• 0-3 years of related experience in oil and gas engineering, operations, project management, and/or project development.
• Effective interpersonal skills to facilitate communication between all team members.
• Project management skills to prepare projects to move from development to sanction/execution.

Responsibilities

• Ensure appropriate stakeholder management; preliminary determination of regulatory requirements; completion of Front-end engineering and designs, cost estimates, and project execution strategies are developed.
• Develop realistic and reliable project schedules and cost estimates for projects, while appropriately defining risks, uncertainties and likelihood for those schedules and cost estimates.
• Develop charters for Rough Order of Magnitude to Class 3 scope supported by estimates and schedules to meet the needs of various sponsors.
• Charters define critical information, specific to each project to be used by executive management to make decisions.
• Provide regular formal and informal project management reporting to Senior Management and stakeholders on assigned projects

• In this role you will provide technical engineering support in Projects throughout the planning, design, cost estimating, risk assessment, schedule development, and pre-sanction stages of the project lifecycle for the Gas and Liquids Pipeline business units.
