Job summary

DSJ Global in Hampton, VA is seeking a Facilities Mechanical Engineer to support plant operations, capital projects, and facility infrastructure. You will lead equipment upgrades, improve reliability, and drive continuous improvement to safety and productivity.

You will coordinate with maintenance, production, and external contractors; develop scopes, budgets, and schedules; specify equipment, test installations, and ensure compliance with standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.
• 3+ years of mechanical project engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Experience managing capital equipment or facility improvement projects.
• Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical control systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead capital and facility improvement projects from planning through execution.
• Specify, design, and implement new manufacturing equipment and infrastructure upgrades.
• Develop project scopes, budgets, schedules, and technical specifications.
• Partner with suppliers, contractors, and internal stakeholders to deliver successful projects.

An Aerospace company in Hampton, VA is looking to bring on a Facilities Mechanical Engineer to play a critical role in supporting plant operations, capital projects, facility infrastructure, and continuous improvement initiatives. This is a highly visible position where you'll help shape manufacturing operation by implementing new equipment, improving existing systems, and ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable facility performance.
