Job summary

Thomas Young Group seeks a Project Engineer to join its Sacramento area team, delivering structural design across steel, concrete, and masonry systems.

You'll prepare documents, perform analyses, review drawings, respond to RFIs, and monitor field progress, with a focus on accuracy and collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering; Master’s preferred.
• 4+ years of structural engineering experience, with expertise in building systems, foundation design, and material proficiency.
• Skilled in Revit Structure, RISA, Bluebeam Revu, and hand calculations.
• Strong understanding of IBC and related standards (ASCE, AISC, ACI, etc.).
• Excellent organizational and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to prepare and manage construction documents, specifications, and materials.
