Gonzalez Companies is a partner-managed firm that provides comprehensive Planning, Design, and Construction Management Services to water, sewer, utility districts, Departments of Transportation, and municipalities. We are seeking an Entry Level Civil Engineer to serve our clients and community. Your Primary Responsibilities

1. Prepare reports, construction plans, and technical specifications for projects.
2. Assist with engineering calculations, drawings, and visual aids under supervision of a project manager or senior team member.
3. Perform site visits and field observations during construction.
4. Conduct fieldwork, tolerate environmental conditions, walk on uneven surfaces, and lift/carry up to 50 pounds as needed.
5. Follow corporate quality procedures.
6. Collaborate with multidisciplinary design teams.
7. Ensure projects comply with local regulations and safety standards.
8. Maintain documentation of projects, including design changes, reports, and test results.
9. Stay updated on industry standards, building codes, and software.
10. Proactively learn new skills or technologies to improve project efficiency and design.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
2. Experience with AutoCAD, Civil3D, and MicroStation.
3. 1-2 years of internship experience in stormwater, wastewater, transportation, or site development engineering projects.
4. Strong organizational and time management skills.
5. Effective team collaboration skills.
6. Relevant coursework in water resources, transportation, or related fields.
