Job summary

Cindavi is seeking a seasoned Project Engineer - Facilities to own multi-million dollar capital projects from concept through startup at our Montpelier, IA site. This role demands cradle-to-grave ownership and a drive to elevate production capabilities in a heavy industrial environment.

Primary responsibilities include leading teams, developing scopes, and managing budgets while coordinating with contractors and operations to ensure on-time, on-spec completion.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related engineering field.
  • 5 to 10+ years of hands-on experience in plant operations, design, engineering, project management, and construction.
  • A proven track record as the lead project engineer responsible for the full lifecycle of large capital projects.
  • Strong background in heavy industry such as steel, aluminum, or large-scale metals processing.
  • Exceptional financial acumen to accurately estimate, budget, and execute projects on schedule.
  • The ability to simultaneously manage multiple high-stress projects while balancing high-level strategy with precise attention to detail.

  • Develop complete project scopes including layout, equipment design, engineering specifications, and realistic implementation schedules.

  • Work cross-functionally with superintendents and operations personnel to ensure every project aligns with our facility needs and improves overall manufacturing efficiency.
