Job summary

Loyal Source is seeking a mid-level Project Engineer II to independently manage engineering deliverables for mid to large low-voltage systems projects. You will produce complete documentation, submittals, and drawings while coordinating with PMs and field teams to ensure on-time project execution.

Based in Chantilly, VA or other listed offices, you will apply advanced technical knowledge to design and document systems in accordance with project requirements and company best practices.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years engineering or coordination experience.
• Proficient in CAD and design tools.
• Strong understanding of low-voltage systems (security, access, fire alarm, AV).
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specs.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Independently develop and produce complete engineering documentation packages (drawings, submittals, equipment schedules).
• Serve as the primary engineering point of contact for assigned projects.
• Coordinate with PMs, field supervisors, and other resources to align design deliverables with installation schedules.
• Assist with change orders and value engineering.
• Ensure designs comply with codes, standards, and customer requirements.
• Provide technical guidance to field teams during installation and commissioning.
• Collaborate with vendors to obtain technical specifications and support.
• Identify and propose engineering solutions to project challenges.

Position Summary

Person can work from any of the following office locations: Baltimore, MD, Chantilly, VA, Richmond, VA or Altamonte Springs, FL offices.

The Project Engineer is a mid-level post-sales engineering role responsible for independently managing engineering deliverables for mid to large-sized low-voltage systems projects. This position leads the preparation of technical documentation, submittal packages, and drawings while coordinating with project managers, field teams, and other engineering resources to ensure successful project execution. The Project Engineer II applies advanced technical knowledge to design and document systems in compliance with project requirements, industry standards, and company best practices.

Pay: $40/hr

Key Responsibilities

• Independently develop and produce complete engineering documentation packages, including drawings, submittals, and equipment schedules.
