Job summary

STO Building Group seeks a Traveling Project Engineer to support data center projects across the Northeast and Midwest. You will serve as the primary client contact for estimating and project management, coordinating with subcontractors and internal teams to ensure quality and on-time delivery.

The role emphasizes onboarding and training of personnel, driving a unified team, and rigorous KPI monitoring to improve processes and project performance across the region.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Construction, Engineering, or Management preferred.
• 1–3 years of related experience and/or training.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary client contact and lead for estimating and project management operations for specific client accounts.
• Coordinate all bidding and operational coordination with subcontractors and/or 3rd party general contractors as required per project.
• Support the local teams to achieve operational excellence.
• Support onboarding and training of STOBG personnel and local subcontractors.
• Support onboarding and training of client and partner personnel.
• Motivate a unified team focused on organizational and account goals.
• Schedule adherence.
• Help facilitate the collection of data and KPIs for internal and client success.
• Monitor and evaluate KPIs across the region to identify opportunities for process and team improvements.

The Project Engineer Main Points Of Focus Should Be

• Serve as the primary client contact and lead for all estimating and project management operations for specific client accounts.
• Coordinate all bidding and operational coordination with subcontractors and / or 3 rd party general contractors, as required per each project.
• Support the local teams to achieve operational excellence.
• Supporting on-boarding and training of STOBG personnel and local subcontractors.
• Supporting on-boarding and training of client and partner personnel.
• Motivating a unified team focused on organizational and account goals.
• Schedule adherence.
• Help facilitate the behavior of all parties working within the platform to ensure we are gathering the appropriate data, KPI’s, etc. for our internal use and our client’s success.
• Monitoring and evaluating KPI’s across their region to identify opportunities for improvement of processes and project team performance for all team members (end to end).

Position Requirements And Qualifications

• B.S. Degree in Construction, Engineering, Management preferred
• 1- 3 years of related experience and/or training
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
