Job summary

Performance Contracting Group, doing business as PCI, is seeking an experienced Project Engineer for its Indianapolis, IN 551 Mechanical Insulation operations based in Carmel, IN. The role focuses on labor control, RFIs/submittals, and takeoffs, with scheduling and QA/QC responsibilities and a salary range of $75,100–$101,000 plus a bonus program.

Requirements include at least 2 years of construction project experience, proficiency with MS Office, and the ability to read drawings/specs.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 2 years’ experience supporting or managing construction projects.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products (e.g., Excel, Word, etc.).
• Possess a clear understanding of how to read and interpret specifications and drawings.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to learn new skills by engaging in the technical job functions and applying new skills as they're learned.

Responsibilities

• Perform labor control on assigned projects, including setup and maintenance.
• Prepare RFI’s and submittals.
• Quantitative takeoffs to verify estimates, order materials, and price change orders.
• Create and implement job schedules and coordinate with field supervisors and foremen.
• Create and manage punch lists and job closeout documentation.
• Support the Quality Control measures outlined in the QA/QC program.
• Assist in other duties as assigned.

Job Description

PCI is seeking an experienced Project Engineer for its PCI Indianapolis, IN 551 Mechanical Insulation operations based in Carmel, IN.

Job Responsibilities Include

• Perform labor control on assigned projects, including setup and maintenance
• Prepare RFI’s and submittals
• Quantitative takeoffs to verify estimates, order materials, and price change orders
• Create and implement job schedules and coordinate with field supervisors and foremen

• Assist in other duties as assigned
• Salary range: $75,100 - $101,000 annual salary plus non-guaranteed annualized bonus program.
• This position is safety-sensitive.

Basic Requirements

• Must have at least 2 years’ experience supporting or managing construction projects

• Possess a clear understanding of how to read and interpret specifications and drawings
