Responsibilities

  • Conduct safety meetings and participate in site safety programs.
  • Create and manage punch lists for projects.
  • Support QA/QC measures and program compliance.
  • Prepare RFIs and submittals for projects.
  • Manage labor on assigned projects, including setup and maintenance.
  • Perform quantitative takeoffs for material ordering.
  • Assist in implementing the project schedule.
  • Coordinate warranties, O&M manuals, and related docs.
  • Coordinate material purchases and invoicing.

Job Description

Performance Contracting is seeking a motivated individual to join our growing employee-owned organization as an Associate Project Engineer for its Cincinnati 581 operations based in Cincinnati, OH.

The Associate Project Engineer role serves as a launching pad for future leaders within PCI. It's a dynamic position offering hands‑on experience in project management and estimating, setting the stage for professional growth and career advancement in an innovative environment.

Job responsibilities include:

  • Conducting safety meetings
  • Creating and managing punch lists
  • Supporting the Quality Control Measures outlined in PCI's QA/QC program
  • Preparing RFI's and submittals
  • Labor control on assigned projects, including setup and maintenance
  • Quantitative takeoffs for material ordering
  • Supporting the implementation of the job schedule
  • Coordinating warranties and O&M's
  • Material coordination with purchase orders and invoicing

Salary range: $72,600-$77,600 annual salary plus non-guaranteed annualized bonus program.

This position is safety-sensitive.

This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Basic Requirements
  • Must have a bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Construction Science, or comparable work experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products (e.g., Excel, Word, etc.)
  • A clear understanding of how to read and interpret specifications and drawings
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Ability to learn new skills by engaging in technical job functions and applying new skills as they are taught
  • Strong customer service skills and relationship‑building abilities
  • Must have critical‑thinking and problem‑solving skills
  • Ability to multitask
  • Motivated self‑starter with strong work ethic and willingness to take initiative
  • Works well under pressure and deadlines
Preferred Requirements
  • OSHA certifications.
