Job Title: Project Engineer at Beaver Excavating Company

This opportunity is within our Geotechnical team and involves assisting the project team in planning and executing construction projects.
Primary Responsibilities
- Develop solid working relationships with all project personnel.
- Assist in preparing work orders, schedules, drawings, field measurements, subcontracts, and supplier agreements.
- Attend pre-construction meetings; assist with action items and solutions.
- Support the Project Manager, Superintendent, and Contract Administrator with job documentation.
- Analyze project layout, sequencing, costs, measurements, and specifications.
- Maintain proper document control, quality assurance, and project records.
- Monitor project site progress and support field personnel.
Knowledge & Skills
- Ability to read and understand contract documents and plans.
- Strong math skills for field calculations.
- Proficiency in MS Office and construction software.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective and tactful interaction with clients and team members.
- Commitment to safety.
- Motivated self-starter.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
- At least 2 years of construction experience, preferably in heavy/civil projects.
Travel Requirements
- Willingness to travel overnight and for extended periods as needed.
Physical Demands
Must be able to sit, handle, reach, talk, stand, walk, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. Vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
