Lead Project Manager – Multifamily Construction
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, support, and develop a team of 5 Project Managers and field management personnel.
- Manage projects from architectural design and engineering through fabrication and field installation.
- Review construction drawings, engineering calculations, take-offs, and submittals.
- Coordinate change orders, project documentation, approvals, and fabrication releases.
- Partner with sales, engineering, CAD, operations, general contractors, and clients to ensure project alignment.
- Monitor project schedules, costs, revenue, milestones, and profitability.
- Coordinate project billing with Accounts Receivable.
- Identify project risks, resolve field and site issues, and develop recovery plans for delays.
- Improve project workflows, standardize best practices, and reduce rework.
- Manage relationships with third-party structural engineering firms.
- Provide coaching, performance feedback, and accountability to the PM team.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of commercial multifamily construction project management experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, blueprints, and technical documentation.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes, mechanical systems, and mechanical fasteners.
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Strong financial and project performance analysis skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Teams, Word, and Outlook.
- Continuous improvement mindset with a focus on efficiency and process optimization.
Salary: $100,000–$120,000 annually, depending on experience and cost of living.
