Jobtailor is seeking a seasoned Lead Manufacturing Engineer to drive end-to-end projects from concept to implementation in a dynamic environment. You will translate customer needs into machining and tooling strategies, using CAD/CAM and simulation tools to optimize processes, proposals, validation, and documentation.
The role requires 5–7 years in production or mechanical engineering, strong machining expertise, and experience with value-based selling and CRM systems.
Lead end-to-end manufacturing projects from concept to implementation, delivering quality solutions on time and within scope
Translate customer needs into machining, tooling, and execution strategies
Use CAD/CAM and simulation tools to optimise processes, proposals, validation, and project documentation
Define cutting-tool applications, machining strategies, tool design, programming, process optimisation, and digital solution validation
Coordinate sales, engineering, customer support, technical specialists, suppliers, and partners
Coach colleagues and share technical expertise
Build customer relationships and develop tailored tooling and machining solutions
Support sales through consultation, implementation, and troubleshooting
Coordinate multiple projects, priorities, resources, risks, and customer commitments
Track performance and improve workflows, standards, and project delivery
Turn customer feedback and market trends into technical opportunities; benchmark competing solutions and champion digital transformation
Analyse trial, process, and customer data and report impact through case studies and measures including tool life, cycle time, quality, productivity, and cost savings
Champion safe, responsible, and environmentally conscious working practices; support risk management, quality improvement, and audits
Demonstrates expertise in leading end-to-end manufacturing projects, translating customer needs into effective machining and tooling strategies, and optimizing processes using CAD/CAM tools. Proficient in customer engagement, technical project delivery, and data analysis to drive quality improvements and operational efficiency.
