  • Oversee and provide guidance on the drafting of plans to represent your design.
  • Coordinate information from outside design teams and contractors.
  • Review plans for compliance with adopted engineering standards and good engineering practices.
  • Work with comments from supervisors and incorporate them into future projects to develop skills to lead future projects.
  • Work within established time periods and deadlines.
  • Handle multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Revit experience is a plus but not required.
  • Experience with industry standard software, including but not limited to Microsoft products, RAM or Tekla Structural Designer, EnerCalc and/or Tedds.
  • Thorough knowledge of commercial building code and applicable structural design code material references.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to identify applicable codes in project-specific jurisdictions and apply them to the project.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment, on multiple projects, tasks, and deadlines, and bring each to successful completion.
  • Ability to produce adequate, understandable, organized calculations.
  • Ability to prepare accurate calculations for all components on projects with supervision.
  • Ability to prepare hand calculations and utilize computer programs to double-check and enhance your work.
