We are a trusted aerospace manufacturer seeking a Project Engineer to lead the development and launch of plastic fastening solutions for aircraft interiors – from initial customer requirements through production. This is a high‑ownership role where your fingerprints are on the product from day one. You'll be the technical lead, the customer's go‑to, and the engine that drives cross‑functional teams to hit milestones on time.

Job Details
What You'll Do
  • Own NPI Projects End‑to‑End: Lead new product introduction from concept through production launch. Develop project plans, schedules, and technical deliverables – and drive them across engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain without losing momentum.
  • Be the Technical Face to Customers: Serve as the primary engineering contact throughout product development and production support. You'll attend design reviews, present solutions, and earn customer confidence every step of the way.
  • Get Hands‑On with Tooling & Injection Molding: Define mold tooling requirements, collaborate with toolmakers on design and validation, review mold flow analyses, and support process optimization and production qualification. This is not a desk‑only role.
  • Build & Maintain World‑Class Documentation: Create detailed 3D CAD models, 2D engineering drawings, test plans, and compliance packages that meet rigorous aerospace standards and customer specifications.
  • Solve Problems That Matter: Investigate and resolve manufacturing and quality issues, implement corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement in cost, quality, and delivery.
Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Aerospace Engineering, or related field
  • 3+ years of engineering experience in product development and manufacturing
  • Hands‑on experience with injection‑molded plastic components
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks, CATIA, or equivalent 3D CAD software
  • Ability to create and interpret 2D drawings with GD&T
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
Preferred
  • Aerospace industry experience, particularly aircraft interiors or cabin systems
  • Knowledge of AS9100 quality systems and aerospace certification requirements
  • Experience with thermoplastic material selection and mold flow analysis
  • Root cause analysis and corrective action experience
