POWER Engineers, member of WSP, is seeking a Project Engineer to work with our Government Services Division. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of an engineering team involved in design projects in the Government market, including mission-critical infrastructure such as power delivery, generation, distribution, backup power, UPS systems, renewable energy, MEP design, and related projects.

Key skills include strong team leadership, mentoring, excellent communication, presentation skills, motivation, a positive attitude, and the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently. The successful candidate will contribute to the growth of a sustainable electrical department, interfacing directly with clients and demonstrating the ability to complete projects within budget and schedule.

Responsibilities:

  1. Leading design teams, including sub-consultants.
  2. Working with federal clients on energy and infrastructure projects.
  3. Managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.
  • Professional Engineering License with multi-state licensing ability.
  • At least 7 years of experience leading technical design teams on federal projects, preferably with NAVFAC or USACE.
  • Experience with design-build and design-bid-build projects for US Government clients.
  • Knowledge of UFC and UFGS standards.
  • Experience in electrical power distribution or mechanical systems design.
  • Strong understanding of architectural and engineering system designs.
  • Ability to mentor teams and manage project scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Excellent communication skills; willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
  • US Citizenship required.

Preferred:

  • 10+ years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to obtain security clearance.
  • Experience with mission-critical infrastructure projects.
  • Proficiency with CAD and BIM software such as AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation.

Note: The position may be remote full-time, with periodic travel to POWER offices.
