Job summary

Epic Piping is seeking a Project Engineer to join our team and help drive successful piping projects. You’ll manage multiple projects, ensure alignment with client scope, and coordinate drafting and checks for pipe spool fabrication drawings across facilities.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree (preferred) and about 5 years of experience in pipe fabrication, with familiarity in ASTM/ASME/PFI standards and CAD tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 5 years of experience in pipe fabrication.
• Familiar with ASTM, ASME, and PFI standards.
• Familiarity with various metallurgies.
• Understanding of non-destructive examination methods, heat treatments, paint, and welding procedures.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple projects.

• Provide a team of drafters, checks and others with information to process pipe spool fabrication drawings.
• Communicate and resolve client questions or conflicts about scope and drawings.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Manage multiple projects.
• Thorough understanding of client project scope and specifications.
• Provide a team of drafters, checks and other with all information necessary to process pipe spool fabrication drawings for multiple fabrication facilities.
• Communicate and resolve with client any issues pertaining to questions/conflicts regarding scope, specifications, and client drawings.
• Thorough understanding of shop methods using the fabrication of pipe spools.
• Familiar with and utilize department standards, procedures, and guidelines.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree; Preferred
• 5 Years of experience in pipe fabrication
• Microsoft Office
• AutoCAD
• JD Edwards experience is a plus
• None specifically required
• Familiarity with codes and standards of ASTM, ASME, and PFI.
• Familiarity with various metallurgies.
