Job summary

Epic Piping seeks a Welder to join our Fabrication team in Texas, working on a variety of projects with a national and global scope. All skill levels are welcome, with opportunities for growth and hands-on training in modern welding practices.

You will contribute to high-quality work, adhere to safety guidelines, and participate in projects spanning multiple industries while developing your skills and advancing your career.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required or preferred
• 1+ years welding experience required or preferred

Responsibilities

• Comply with safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and regulations.
• Clamp, hold, tack-weld, heat-bend, grind, or bolt component parts.
• Remove rough spots from work pieces using grinders, files or scrapers.
• Chip or grind off excess weld, slag, or spatter.
• Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.
• Operate safety equipment and maintain safe work habits.
• Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment (GTAW, GMAW, FCAW, SAW).
• Feather or remove tacks before welding beading pass.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Comply with safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and regulations.
• Clamp, hold, tack-weld, heat-bend, grind, or bolt component parts.
• Remove rough spots from work pieces, using portable grinders, hand files or scrapers.
• Chip or grind off excess weld, slag, or spatter, using hand scrapers or power chippers, portable grinders or arc-cutting equipment.
• Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.
• Operate safety equipment and use safe work habits.
• Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments using processes, such as gas tungsten arc, gas metal arc, flux-cored arc, and submerged arc welding.
• Feather or remove tacks using electric or pneumatic, grinders prior to welding beading pass.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

• Education: High School Diploma or GED; preferred
• Experience: 1+ Years' Experience in welding
• Computer Skills: Not applicable
• Certification/Licenses: None specifically required
