Job summary

Epic Piping is seeking a Project Engineer to join our team and help manage engineering requirements across multiple projects with drafters, checkers, and clients. You will address engineering issues and coordinate with internal departments to resolve project challenges.

Based in Baton Rouge, the role emphasizes pipe fabrication experience, familiarity with ASTM/ASME/PFI, and strong math and communication skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma.
• 5 Years of experience in pipe fabrication.
• Familiarity with codes and standards of ASTM, ASME, and PFI.
• Familiarity with various metallurgies.
• Understanding of non-destructive examination methods, heat treatments, paint, and welding procedures.
• Strong geometry, measurement, and mathematical calculation skills.
• Ability to communicate to large groups during meetings (MS Teams).
• Ability to commute to the main office daily.

What You’ll Do

Manage and Communicate engineering requirements to a team of drafters and checkers on multiple projects at one time. Also interact with and resolve any engineering issues with the clients, as well as communicate with departments within the company on any engineering related issues pertaining to these projects.

Education

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

• High School Diploma

Experience

• 5 Years of experience in pipe fabrication

Computer Skills

• Microsoft Word and Excel
• AutoCAD experience a plus
• JD Edwards experience is a plus

Certifications & Licenses

• None specifically required

Other Requirements

• Familiarity with codes and standards of ASTM, ASME, and PFI.

• Ability to occasionally speak in front of large groups of people and often during Microsoft teams call.
