CHEP UK Ltd. is seeking a Project Engineer to lead capital equipment and facility improvement projects within our Atlanta-area manufacturing and supply chain network.

You will drive scope, budget, timelines, and business justifications, coordinating with Operations, Safety, Quality, Finance, and Engineering teams. You will manage vendor selection, RFPs, PO tracking, installation and startup, while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
  • 3–5 years of Project/Manufacturing Engineering or Project Management in industrial settings.
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong collaboration and communication with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in a dynamic environment.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish capabilities (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Lead capital equipment and facility improvement projects from planning through implementation.
  • Develop project scopes, equipment layouts, timelines, budgets, and business justifications.
  • Prepare capital expenditure requests and support project approvals.
  • Manage vendor selection, RFPs, quotes, PO creation, and tracking.
  • Oversee installation, commissioning, and startup activities.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Safety, and Quality to meet objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure safe work practices and monitor project risks and costs.
  • Coordinate training for plant personnel; ensure proper closeout with as-built drawings and manuals.
