Caliente Construction Inc. is seeking a motivated Construction Project Engineer to support planning, coordination, and execution of projects from start to finish.

This role thrives in a fast-paced environment and offers growth into leadership within construction project management. You will help with project planning and scheduling, coordinate field operations, and ensure safety, timely delivery, and budget adherence across diverse projects.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in Construction Management or related field and a minimum of two years of job-related experience.
• Intermediate knowledge of software applications (MS Office/Procore/Bluebeam/Vista), and others
• Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Team-oriented with adaptability to changing schedules

Responsibilities

• Project Coordination & Execution: support planning, scheduling, and execution
• Assist the Project Manager with day-to-day project planning, scheduling, and execution
• Support construction activities to ensure work is completed safely, on time, and within budget
• Track project progress and help identify potential risks or delays
• Prepare, review, and manage submittals, RFIs, change orders, and project documentation
• Maintain accurate project records, logs, and reports
• Assist with cost tracking, quantity takeoffs, and budget updates
• Coordinate with superintendents, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth field operations
• Participate in site walks, inspections, and progress meetings
• Help resolve field issues and support quality control efforts
• Serve as a point of contact between the project team, subcontractors, and other stakeholders
• Participate in project meetings and manage agendas, meeting minutes, and follow-ups
• Foster strong working relationships across teams to keep projects moving forward

About the Role

We’re looking for a motivated Construction Project Engineer to support the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects from start to finish. What You’ll Do

• Project Coordination & Execution

Documentation & Reporting

• Prepare, review, and manage submittals, RFIs, change orders, and project documentation

• Coordinate with superintendents, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth field operations

What We’re Looking For

• Four-year degree in Construction Management or related field and a minimum of two (2) years of job-related experience
• Intermediate knowledge of software applications (MS Office/Procore/Bluebeam/Vista), and others
• Basic understanding of construction industry terminology and documents with the ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications
• Ability to develop, maintain, and enhance all project stakeholder relationships with the Company
• Excellent organizational skills, detail oriented, efficient, and reliable
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Team player with the ability to recognize how individual actions affect the team as a whole
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, flexible and adaptable to changes to planned tasks or schedule
