Job summary

Insight Global partners with a leading federal design-build construction contractor to recruit Project Engineers who will support large-scale federal infrastructure and national security projects, with a clear path toward Project Management.

You’ll work alongside experienced construction leaders, gain ownership of major project components, and help drive projects from preconstruction through closeout while coordinating with federal stakeholders and field teams.

Qualifications

• 2–5+ years of construction experience.
• Experience with a General Contractor or specialty subcontractor (Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Structural, or Steel).
• Experience supporting federal, military, municipal, or public-sector construction projects (CBP, USACE, NAVFAC, DoD, DHS, Air Force, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Support execution of large federal design-build construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Assist with project scheduling, tracking milestones, and identifying potential delays using MS Project.
• Track project costs, support forecasting efforts, and maintain financial documentation.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation.
• Coordinate with superintendents, subcontractors, field personnel, and federal stakeholders.
• Review construction drawings and prepare markups using Bluebeam.
• Support quality control, safety compliance, and federal contract requirements.
• Assist with quantity takeoffs, estimating activities, and preconstruction efforts.
• Help drive projects forward by identifying risks and supporting solutions to keep projects on track.
• They have sites in Nogales, AZ and Yuma, AZ. There is per diem offered for travel.

What We’re Looking For

2–5+ years of construction experience

Experience with a General Contractor or specialty subcontractor (Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Structural, or Steel)

Experience supporting federal, military, municipal, or public-sector construction projects such as:

• CBP - USACE - NAVFAC - DoD - DHS - Air Force - State or Municipal Projects

This role is offering between $45-$52/hr depending on years of experience.
