Job summary

Insight Global's client is seeking a Project Engineer to support a federal design-build contractor in Arizona. You will oversee complex, high-dollar projects from planning through closeout, ensuring schedules, budgets, and quality standards are met.

Responsibilities include developing detailed project schedules in MS Project, tracking costs, coordinating with field teams and federal stakeholders, managing RFIs and submittals, and supporting preconstruction estimating with HeavyBid/HeavyJob.

Qualifications

• 2–5+ years of construction experience.
• Experience with a General Contractor or a sub-contractor in Electrical, Civil, Steel, Mechanical, or Structural fields.
• Federal construction project experience with CBP, USACE, NAVFAC, DoD, DHS, AF, city/state, municipal projects.
• Proficiency with MS Project and related document tools.

Responsibilities

• Support daily project execution on large federal design-build projects.
• Develop, update and maintain detailed project schedules in MS Project.
• Track project costs and assist forecasting; maintain financial documentation.
• Coordinate with superintendents, subcontractors, field teams, and federal stakeholders.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders and project documentation.
• Perform drawing reviews and markups using Bluebeam for design coordination.
• Ensure compliance with federal regulations, safety standards and quality control.
• Assist with estimating and preconstruction efforts using HeavyBid/HeavyJob.
• Support lifecycle activities from preconstruction through closeout.
