CSG Talent is partnering with a leading global engineering consultancy expanding its municipal Water business across Northern California. We are seeking an experienced Project Director to lead client development, project delivery and business growth throughout the Bay Area.

The role suits an established municipal water professional with strong relationships in Northern California, capable of combining technical leadership with client engagement and growth of the practice.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years in municipal water, wastewater, or related infrastructure.
  • Strong knowledge of the Bay Area / Northern California water market.
  • Established relationships with municipal utilities and public-sector clients.
  • Solid project delivery and client-management credentials.
  • Experience leading proposals, pursuits and business development.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Environmental Science.
  • Professional Engineer license preferred.
  • Strong commercial, communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support major municipal water and wastewater projects.
  • Develop long-term relationships with public-sector and utility clients.
  • Identify and convert new project opportunities.
  • Lead pursuits, proposals and client interviews.
  • Support contract negotiations and commercial strategy.
  • Maintain accountability for project scope, schedule, budget and client satisfaction.
  • Grow existing accounts through strong project delivery.
  • Collaborate with technical, project and market leadership teams.
  • Support broader growth of the municipal Water practice across Northern California.

CSG Talent is partnering with a leading global engineering consultancy that is continuing to expand its municipal Water business across Northern California.

As part of this growth, we are looking for an experienced Project Director to take a senior role across client development, project delivery and business growth throughout the Bay Area.

This opportunity would suit an established municipal water professional who has strong relationships across the Northern California market and enjoys combining technical and project leadership with client engagement and business development.

The Role

You will work closely with regional and national Water leadership to strengthen key client relationships, lead major projects and identify opportunities for continued growth.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and supporting major municipal water and wastewater projects
  • Developing long-term relationships with public-sector and utility clients
  • Identifying and converting new project opportunities
  • Leading pursuits, proposals and client interviews
  • Supporting contract negotiations and commercial strategy
  • Maintaining accountability for project scope, schedule, budget and client satisfaction
  • Growing existing accounts through strong project delivery
  • Working collaboratively with technical, project and market leadership teams
  • Supporting broader growth of the municipal Water practice across Northern California
What We Are Looking For
  • 10+ years of experience within municipal water, wastewater or related infrastructure
  • Strong knowledge of the Bay Area / Northern California water market
  • Established relationships with municipal utilities and public-sector clients
  • Strong project delivery and client management credentials
  • Experience leading proposals, pursuits and business development activity
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science or a related discipline
  • Professional Engineer licence preferred
  • Strong commercial, communication and leadership skills
