Job summary

Duke Energy is seeking a Project Director to oversee pre-construction, funding, and contracting for utility-scale solar and energy storage projects. You will direct cross-functional teams, manage scope, cost, and schedule, and negotiate EPC contracts with external partners to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Project Management, or related field.
• High School/GED with 13+ years related work experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead utility-scale solar and battery energy storage projects after initiation, through funding approval and contracting.
• Own pre-construction project performance, including scope, cost, schedule, risk, and stakeholder alignment.
• Lead multidisciplinary matrixed project teams and drive effective coordination across the organization.
