Job summary

The Geneva Foundation is seeking a Project Director to fully implement research studies under the PI, recruit participants, and oversee data collection/analysis. The role is full-time with a hybrid schedule: four days in office and one remote day in Ft. Bragg, NC.

Salary ranges from $105,000 to $120,000, determined by market data, equity, and candidate qualifications. Will oversee budgets, progress reports, and regulatory documentation, ensuring compliance across multiple programs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required.
  • Advanced degree preferred.
  • 4–6 years experience in research management preferred.
  • 4–6 years nonprofit, research, or healthcare experience desired.
  • 3–5 years experience in planning, organizational, communications, and management skills.
  • US Citizenship.
  • Demonstrate competence in oral and written communication.
  • Must be organized, attentive to detail, and possess a positive, friendly and professional demeanor.
  • Ability to execute the vision of the organization in response to changing conditions.
  • Ability to provide strong leadership, innovative thinking, creative planning, and effective motivation skills to staff.
  • Ability to be flexible with changing priorities and interact with employees, clients and sponsors of all levels.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment in fast-paced, high-pressured environment with strict deadlines and to manage multiple projects.
  • Ability to develop strong trusting relationships in order to gain support and achieve results.
  • Computer skills including at least intermediate level experience with Excel and other Microsoft Office Software

Responsibilities

  • Determines the project schedule of research study.
  • Supports allocation of appropriate resources.
  • Oversees award administration and deliverables.
  • Orchestrates process design and implementation of research study.
  • Promotes safety and confidentiality of research participants at all times.
  • Adheres to OSHA, GLP, GCP and infection control procedures.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in performing basic study related procedures as required.
  • Maintains collaborative research environment between the Principal Investigator, other site personnel, research participants, The Geneva Foundation and the funding organization.
  • Prepares interim and final progress reports.
  • Participates in analysis of the data and the preparation of the manuscript, as applicable.
  • Maintains an updated literature library of journal articles related to the research topic.
  • Maintains the security and confidentiality of all research records.
  • Maintains and update files of all applicable regulatory documentation for IACUC or IRB and communications with sponsor or regulatory offices.

About The Position

The Project Director fully implements the research study under the direction of the Principal Investigator. The Project Director is responsible for the recruitment of research participants, the conduct of the research protocol, the management of the data collection and analysis process, the oversight of the grant budget and the preparation of interim and final progress reports. This is a full time position with a hybrid remote work schedule - 4 days in office and 1 day remote in Ft. Bragg, NC. Background checks will be administered. Program Optimizing Human Weapons System (OHWS) Salary Range $105,000 - $120,000. Salaries are determined based on several factors including external market data, internal equity, and the candidate’s related knowledge, skills, and abilities for the position.

Qualifications

Management Responsibilities
  • Monitors staffing, hiring, salary negotiations and performance review processes for staff
  • Conducts counseling, corrective action, up to and including termination, with Human Resources and Director
  • Directs multiple programmatic/ study related conduct ensuring staff perform tasks within scope of project
  • Ensures staff demonstrate basic understanding of their job description
  • Plans and facilitates individual and team meetings
  • Assures all staff complies with Foundation and site policies, procedures and SOPs
  • Develops, manages, and mentors staff by providing training, guidance and feedback through reviews and meetings
  • Provides support, as needed, in the development and documentation of policy and best practice guidelines and internal controls
  • Provides technical direction and overall supervision and guidance to department to ensure compliance with all federal, state and governing regulations/laws
  • Provides day-to-day leadership enabling the program’s success

  • Maintains and update files of all applicable regulatory documentation for IACUC or IRB (including protocols, approvals, amendments, modifications, etc.) as well as any communications with the sponsor or any other Federal or regulatory office
