The Geneva Foundation in Fayetteville, NC seeks a Project Director to fully implement a research study under the direction of the Principal Investigator. This full-time role manages recruitment, protocol conduct, data collection and analysis, and budget oversight in a hybrid schedule (4 days in-office, 1 day remote at Ft.

Bragg, NC). You will lead staff, ensure regulatory compliance (GCP, GLP, OSHA), and prepare interim/final reports while maintaining sponsor communications.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required.
  • Advanced degree preferred.
  • 4-6 years experience in research management preferred.
  • 3-5 years experience in planning, organizational, communications, and management skills.
  • US Citizenship must be demonstrated.

Responsibilities

  • Directs the project schedule and research study activities.
  • Monitors staffing, hiring, salary negotiations and performance reviews.
  • Prepares interim and final progress reports for sponsors.
  • Ensures compliance with GLP, GCP, OSHA and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintains documentation with PI, staff, sponsor and regulatory bodies.

About The PositionThe Project Director fully implements the research study under the direction of the Principal Investigator. The Project Director is responsible for the recruitment of research participants, the conduct of the research protocol, the management of the data collection and analysis process, the oversight of the grant budget and the preparation of interim and final progress reports.This is a full time position with a hybrid remote work schedule - 4 days in office and 1 day remote in Ft. Bragg, NC. Background checks will be administered.ProgramOptimizing Human Weapons System (OHWS)Salary Range$105,000 - $120,000. Salaries are determined based on several factors including external market data, internal equity, and the candidate’s related knowledge, skills, and abilities for the position.QualificationsBachelors degree or equivalent work experience required, Advanced Degree preferred4-6 years experience in research management preferred4-6 years non-profit, research, or healthcare experience desired3-5 years experience in planning, organizational, communications, and management skillsUS CitizenshipDemonstrate competence in oral and written communicationMust be organized, attentive to detail, and possess a positive, friendly and professional demeanorAbility to execute the vision of the organization in response to changing conditionsAbility to provide strong leadership, innovative thinking, creative planning, and effective motivation skills to staffAbility to be flexible with changing priorities and available to interact with employees, clients and sponsors of all levelsAbility to exercise independent judgment in fast-paced, high-pressured environment with strict deadlines and to manage multiple projectsAbility to develop strong trusting relationships in order to gain support and achieve resultsComputer skills including at least intermediate level experience with Excel and other Microsoft Office SoftwareManagement ResponsibilitiesMonitors staffing, hiring, salary negotiations and performance review processes for staffConducts counseling, corrective action, up to and including termination, with Human Resources and DirectorDirects multiple programmatic/ study related conduct ensuring staff perform tasks within scope of projectEnsures staff demonstrate basic understanding of their job descriptionPlans and facilitates individual and team meetingsAssures all staff complies with Foundation and site policies, procedures and SOPsDevelops, manages, and mentors staff by providing training, guidance and feedback through reviews and meetingsProvides support, as needed, in the development and documentation of policy and best practice guidelines and internal controlsProvides technical direction and overall supervision and guidance to department to ensure compliance with all federal, state and governing regulations/lawsProvides day-to-day leadership enabling the program’s successResponsibilitiesDetermines the project schedule of research studySupports allocation of appropriate resourcesOversees award administration and deliverablesOrchestrates process design and implementation of research studyPromotes safety and confidentiality of research participants at all timesAdheres to Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), Good Clinical Practices (GCP) and infection control proceduresDemonstrate proficiency in performing basic study related procedures as requiredMaintains collaborative research environment between the Principal Investigator, other site personnel, research participants, The Geneva Foundation and the funding organizationPrepares interim and final progress reportsParticipates in analysis of the data and the preparation of the manuscript, as applicableMaintains an updated literature library of journal articles related to the research topicMaintains the security and confidentiality of all research recordsMaintains and update files of all applicable regulatory documentation for IACUC or IRB (including protocols, approvals, amendments, modifications, etc.) as well as any communications with the sponsor or any other Federal or regulatory office
