Qualifications

  • Professional degree in Architecture.
  • Significant experience leading architectural projects from concept through construction documentation.
  • Strong experience with luxury residential, hospitality, high-rise, mixed-use, or large-scale developments.
  • Strong understanding of architectural design, technical documentation, and construction processes.
  • Experience coordinating multidisciplinary consultants.
  • Strong knowledge of applicable architectural codes and standards.
  • Proven experience working directly with clients and leading project meetings.
  • Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high standard of design quality.
  • Proficiency with Revit/BIM and other architectural design and documentation tools.
  • Ability and willingness to work on-site in San Antonio, Texas.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the artistic and technical design direction of assigned projects.
  • Translate strategic project briefs into compelling architectural concepts.
  • Develop and maintain the project's architectural language, including concept, massing, materiality, and user experience.
  • Maintain consistency and quality throughout all phases of design.
  • Review and approve design proposals prior to client presentation.
  • Protect the project's design vision while balancing technical and project requirements.
  • Transform design concepts into practical and buildable architectural solutions.
  • Coordinate architectural criteria with MEP, structural, BIM, and other consultants.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, regulations, and local requirements.
  • Identify and resolve technical conflicts in collaboration with Project Managers and consultants.
  • Lead and review design packages throughout: Concept Design, Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documents, BIM Coordination.
  • Take ownership of project deliverables and ensure they are On time, High quality and Complete for the applicable project phase.
  • Review project documentation before it is issued to clients or consultants.
  • Ensure project decisions, responsibilities, and next steps are clearly documented.
  • Work closely with Project Managers to prioritize resources, schedules, and deliverables.
  • Monitor project progress and proactively identify potential risks or delays.
  • Serve as a key architectural and operational point of contact for clients.
  • Lead regular project meetings and communicate progress, risks, and decisions.
  • Build strong relationships with clients and project stakeholders.
  • Anticipate challenges and address them proactively.
  • Lead, guide, and mentor internal architectural teams.
  • Assign and prioritize design tasks according to project requirements.
  • Review work produced by the team before external submission.
  • Establish clear design and documentation processes.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers, consultants, and leadership to maintain project momentum.

Lead Exceptional Architecture Projects

We are seeking an experienced Project Director to join a growing architecture practice in San Antonio, Texas and Miami Florida

This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for an architect who combines strong design vision, technical expertise, project leadership, and client-facing experience.

The Project Director will take ownership of complex architectural projects from concept through documentation, ensuring that design quality, technical execution, project objectives, timelines, and client expectations remain aligned throughout the project lifecycle.

The ideal candidate is a confident architectural leader who can lead teams, coordinate consultants, communicate directly with clients, and protect the overall design vision while delivering projects to the highest standards.

Our portfolio includes luxury residential, high-rise residential, hospitality, mixed-use, and large-scale developments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the artistic and technical design direction of assigned projects.

The Successful Project Director Will
  • Deliver projects and milestones according to approved schedules.

  • Minimize unnecessary rework through strong project definition and coordination.

  • Annual Base Salary: Starting at $120,000, paid biweekly. Compensation is flexible depending on the candidate's experience and qualifications.
  • Monthly Variable Compensation: 10% - 30% of annual base salary, based on achievement of established individual and company objectives.
  • Work Schedule:
  • Monday–Thursday: 8:30 AM - 6:00 PM with a 1-hour lunch.
  • Friday: 8:30 AM - 2:30 PM.
  • Paid Vacation: 13 business days annually.
  • Health Insurance: 50% employer coverage for the employee, including vision and dental.
  • Holiday Schedule: Half-day on December 24 and December 31.
  • Year-End Bonus: Equivalent to 45 days of salary, subject to achievement of individual and company objectives. This benefit is earned after completing one full calendar year of service (January–December).
  • Paid Holidays: Company-observed holidays in accordance with applicable law.
