A growing advanced technology company is seeking a Project Director to lead the development and execution of complex industrial facilities. This role will oversee projects from early-stage development through engineering, permitting, construction, commissioning, and startup.
The ideal candidate has experience delivering nuclear, chemical processing, or other highly regulated industrial facilities, with nuclear fuel cycle experience strongly preferred. DOE experience is also highly valued.
Responsibilities
- -Lead industrial facility projects from early development through construction and commissioning.
- -Own project scope, schedule, budget, quality, and risk.
- -Coordinate engineering, construction, regulatory, EPC, and consulting teams.
- -Manage permitting, licensing, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
- -Work with government agencies and funding organizations, including DOE.
- -Identify and mitigate technical, schedule, and financial risks.
- -Provide project updates and strategic recommendations to executive leadership.
- -Build and develop project teams as the company scales.
Key Qualifications
- -10+ years of experience in engineering, construction, project development, or project management for large industrial facilities.
- -Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical discipline.
- -Demonstrated experience leading capital projects through construction, commissioning, or startup.
- -Experience with nuclear, chemical processing, refining, or other complex industrial facilities.
- Nuclear fuel cycle experience is strongly preferred.
- -Experience managing multidisciplinary teams, EPC contractors, and external stakeholders.
- -Strong understanding of industrial permitting, licensing, safety, and regulatory requirements.
- -Strong project management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- -Experience with uranium conversion, enrichment, fuel fabrication, reprocessing, or other nuclear fuel-cycle facilities.
- -Direct experience working with the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) or DOE contractors.
- PE or PMP certification.
- -Experience with NRC, NQA-1, OSHA PSM, EPA, or similar regulatory frameworks.
- -Experience developing projects within a startup or rapidly growing company.
