Job summary

The Freeman Company seeks an experienced Project Designer - LED to plan, coordinate, and technically design LED requirements for live events. This role educates staff across teams and interfaces with cross-divisional leadership, while supporting the AV Production group.

The position offers a hybrid schedule, typically 2–3 days in-office or on-site, and requires travel up to 25%. Based in Las Vegas or other listed locations, it coordinates show designs, budgets, and resource planning for

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent or professional work experience required.
• Minimum 10 years experience in live event production with at least 5 years in production management.

Responsibilities

• Develop event designs and coordinate pre-production, onsite, and post-production activities.
• Create diagrams for shows based on budget and share with on-site staff.
• Schedule and assign personnel to optimize resources.
• Communicate load-in, load-out, install and dismantle planning information to the show site team.
• Coordinate and supervise technical and labor crews.
• Ensure correct specification setup and optimization of event requirements.
• Direct workflow of the event planning process.
• Oversee LED requirements planning involving multiple elements, mediums, and materials.
• Coordinate logistics for all LED events.
• Review budgets with Client Solutions Manager and assess impacts.
• Analyze current programs and recommend improvements for gear, electrical, rigging, and safety.

Summary

The Project Designer - LED is responsible for the planning, coordination, and technical design of LED requirements for produced events. This position is responsible for educating technical staff, sales staff, show-site staff, and divisional leaders on implementation related issues. This position will interface broadly with cross divisional teams.

This position will support our AV Production team. It is eligible to work a hybrid schedule, generally requiring work in-office and/or show-site 2-3 days per week. The ideal candidate will be based out of any of the following locations:

• Las Vegas, NV
• Works closely with clients, sales staff, operations, and project managers to develop event designs and to coordinate pre-production, onsite, and post-production activities in line with event budget
• Creates diagrams and for shows based on budgeted designs; ensure on-site personnel have and understand this information
• Assists in the scheduling and/or recommending of personnel to optimize resources
• Communicates load-in, load-out, install, and dismantle planning information to show site team
• Coordinates and/or assists both technical and labor crews
• Responsible for ensuring the correct specification setup and optimization of event requirements
• Directs workflow of event planning process
• Oversees planning of LED requirements involving multiple elements, mediums, and materials
• Coordinates logistics for all technical LED events need
• Coordinates and supervises planning process and reviews any budget impacts with Client Solutions Manager
• Analyze current programs and make recommendation for improvement on gear, electrical, rigging, and safety

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Equivalent or professional work experience is required
• Minimum 10 years experience working in live event production with a minimum of 5 years focused on overall production management
