Job summary

SEPTA (Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority) seeks a Project Designer for Bridges & Buildings Facilities in Philadelphia. You will provide detailed designs and specifications for HVAC, plumbing, piping, fueling systems, maintenance equipment, elevators and escalators across SEPTA’s transit network.

The role requires strong CAD skills (AutoCAD, Revit), familiarity with codes and standards, and extensive experience in mechanical design and project management.

Qualifications

High School Graduate with 11+ years of relevant mechanical systems experience (HVAC, plumbing, piping, fueling, elevators/escalators).
Equivalent combo of education and experience may be considered in lieu of the above.

Responsibilities

Provide analysis, detailed design reviews, and checker support for mechanical systems and maintenance equipment.
Write specifications and RFQs; review designs for devices and systems; prepare proofs of concept.
Oversee factory testing and ensure corrective actions for equipment operations and PM procedures.
