Job summary

Norwood Development Group seeks a Project Design Manager to guide development projects from concept through construction completion. You will lead design efforts, coordinate consultants, and manage schedules to meet quality and budget targets.

This in-person role requires 5–7 years in architecture/design, strong CAD/SketchUp skills, and the ability to balance creativity with practical construction considerations. Eligible for an annual bonus and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Architecture, Urban Design, Construction Management, Real Estate Development, Engineering, Planning, or a related field or equivalent experience.
• 5–7 years of experience in architecture, design, development, construction, or a related discipline.
• Experience supporting projects through design, permitting, and construction.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, SketchUp, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and related software.
• Strong understanding of architectural design, construction methods, and development processes.

Responsibilities

• Design & Development: Develop conceptual site plans, floor plans, space plans, and design studies.
• Create SketchUp models, presentations, and conceptual design materials.
• Support project planning, feasibility studies, programming, and site planning efforts.
• Evaluate design options and development scenarios to support project goals.
• Coordinate architects, engineers, planners, interior designers, landscape architects, and specialty consultants.
• Manage projects through design, permitting, and construction documentation phases.
• Track schedules, deliverables, approvals, and project milestones.
• Maintain design quality, standards, and consistency throughout project execution.
