Job summary

Northland is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support the planning, coordination, and execution of large-scale development projects in Newton, Massachusetts. You will assist the Project Manager and Construction team across pre-construction, construction, and close-out activities to help ensure safety, schedule, and budget targets are met.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management or engineering with 1–2 years of residential construction experience.
• Knowledge of building systems, construction techniques, and project coordination.
• Ability to read drawings, specs, contracts, and building codes; strong written/computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze project plans and contract documents to identify risks and constructability concerns.
• Assist with project budgeting, cost estimating, and cost tracking.
• Coordinate pre-construction planning, scheduling, procurement, and permitting.
• Track project schedules, monitor milestones, and maintain thorough documentation.
• Support site coordination, inspections, RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
• Prepare meeting notes and communicate with stakeholders.
