Steering House Design And Development Employer in Brooklyn, NY is seeking a Project Architect to lead architecture and design for high‑end residential renovations and new construction. You will manage design professionals, coordinate with a tight management team, and ensure budgets of $5m+ are met in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements include 7+ years NYC residential project experience, cost control, and strong leadership.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years experience managing comprehensive NYC residential architecture and construction projects.
• Ability to manage job costs and adhere to schedules.
• Strong leadership, communication and management skills.
• Positive and professional attitude.

Responsibilities

• Lead our in‑house teams and clients through the architecture/design process.
• Draft and detail construction plans for residential gut renovations and new construction.
• Manage all design professionals and expeditors.
• Participate in budget creation and value engineering processes.
• Maintain company design standards.
• Assist with quality control and uphold high standards.
• Define and manage project goals, budgets and schedules.
• Review plans for completeness and generate RFIs as needed.
• Produce RFPs, negotiate contracts, manage vendors and subcontractors.
• Coordinate and oversee project design teams and other consultants.
• Oversee timely purchase and tracking of finishes and fixtures.
• Quality control and client reporting.
