JOB TITLE:

Program Coordinator, Senior - Agriculture Experiment Station

JOB PURPOSE:

Coordinate and manage the operational, financial, and personnel functions of a large and/or complex specialized program for a designated department under very limited supervision; advise and counsel students; facilitate and pursue opportunities which will enhance the general welfare of University students within the program.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Enhance and maintain communication with faculty, staff, and stakeholders of WAES while ensuring WAES Director is kept apprised of all pertinent developments and opportunities by developing or identifying and implementing systems and processes to improve effective and efficient communication.
  • Maintain and ensure WAES website and associated information is contemporary and accurate by acquiring and developing content for website and social media outlets.
  • Prepare reports and respond to inquiries about WAES in partnership with WAES business manager, including determine communication needs and prioritizing content for reports.
  • Plan, implement, and evaluate WAES events and provide support to four R&E Centers on planning, implementing, and evaluating outreach events and programs, acquiring or developing content from subject matter experts, negotiating contracts with vendors, and other necessary items.
  • Manage Reflections magazine process, help develop impact statements, and other print/online publications for WAES and assist with other CALSNR media outputs, including social media.
  • Manage WAES awards program including soliciting nominations, managing reviews, and notifying award recipients.
  • Provide support to new and ongoing special programs and projects within CALSNR.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

Experience: 3 years work-related experience

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Knowledge of Wyocloud (Oracle systems), Microsoft office products.
  • Event planning Experience
  • Website development/maintenance, social media knowledge, marketing experience
