The Chronicle Of Higher Education, Inc. is seeking a Project Coordinator for the Vice President of Student Affairs. You will assist in assessing, creating, and marketing signature programs while working collaboratively with students to oversee projects and implement assessment strategies. This role requires excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and offers a base hourly rate of $10.00 to $13.00.

Position reports to Dawn Blankenship and is a student appointment for the academic year.

Description of Job Duties and Responsibilities

Reporting to the Vice President for Student Affairs, the project coordinator will provide assistance in assessing, creating, and marketing signature programs. Primary areas of responsibility include project research; build collaborative relationships with student leaders; oversee projects and programs directly related strategic priorities for Student Affairs; and implement assessment strategies for evaluating efforts to inform future decisions.

Essential Job Functions
  1. Coordinate and implement project research
  2. Build collaborative relationships with student leaders
  3. Oversee projects and programs directly related strategic priorities for Student Affairs
  4. Implement assessment strategies for evaluating efforts to inform future decisions
  5. Serve as liaison between the students, student organizations and student government when needed
  6. Serve as liaison between students other departments to gather information to appropriately and communicate Vice President initiatives
  7. Assist with composing and preparing student communication
  8. Project management related to conformance to regulations and associated reporting
  9. Work collaboratively in a diverse, inclusive and student-centered environment
  10. Other related duties as assigned
Additional Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Extensive experience with Microsoft Office applications including Excel and PowerPoint
  2. Excellent analytical, organizational and communication skills required
  3. Excellent ability to problem solve within large institutions/systems is required
  4. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively and collegially with students, faculty, administrators, colleagues and outside parties required
  5. Positive, proactive approach to work required
  6. Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality is a must
  7. Ability to work independently on multiple assignments and to work collaboratively within a team required
  8. Must be detail oriented

  • Current student
