The University of Pittsburgh Health Sciences recognizes the importance of global health and aims to harness the power of research, education, partnerships, and service to reduce the burden of disease, improve the well-being of people and the planet, and respond to health inequities. To address these challenges, the Office of Academic and Global Affairs works directly with the senior vice chancellor for the health sciences to implement academic programs and projects that respond to diverse global health needs and interests.
Minimum Qualifications:
Master's degree preferred or relevant experience. Computer skills including word processing, spreadsheet, and database proficiency. Strong organizational skills required.
Provides daily support in the execution of an assigned program, section, or special interest group and implements procedures, processes, services, and systems to support program workflow. Evaluates and monitors projects, coordinates with internal and external stakeholders, and advises staff on program policies. Creates program communications, coordinates data and manages program databases, and assists in developing program evaluations.
This part-time position provides professional-level program support for the Office of Academic and Global Affairs, Health Sciences. Duties include assistance with global health projects and high-profile initiatives as needed, including coordinating global health research and research-related output for the department and as determined by the Associate Vice Chancellor Global for Affairs. The position requires proven research experience and excellent planning and organizational skills.
Administrative responsibilities, including the ability to use computer and telephone.
