Overview

Infinity Building Services, Inc. is a commercial general contractor seeking a full-time Project Coordinator to support restaurant, retail, educational, medical, and office construction projects across the DC Metro Area (MD/DC/VA). The role involves assisting Project Managers with coordinating construction activities, subcontractors, and client communications across multiple projects. Responsibilities
  • Assist Project Managers in managing day-to-day operational and administrative aspects of construction projects and scopes.
  • Minimize our exposure and risk on project.
  • Assist in preparation of contracts and negotiate revisions, changes, and additions to contractual agreements with architects, consultants, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • Confer with supervisory personnel, owners, subcontractors, and design professionals to discuss and resolve matters such as work procedures, complaints, and construction problems.
  • Interpret and explain plans and contract terms to administrative staff, workers and clients, representing the owner or developer.
  • Assist in management of project budget.
  • Assist in determining appropriate revenue recognition, ensures timely and accurate invoicing and monitors receivables for the project.
  • Assist in analysis of project profitability, revenue, margins, bill rates and utilization.
  • Assist in scheduling the project in logical steps and budget time required to meet deadlines.
  • Study job specifications to determine appropriate construction methods.
  • Assist PM in conducting weekly progress meetings.
  • Request, follow up, and gather operation, maintenance, and warranty information from subcontractors at the end of projects.
  • Assist with other office administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications
  • Two years of experience in commercial general contracting or similar industry in a Project Coordinator and/or Administrative Assistant capacity is preferred.
  • Procore software experience is a strong plus.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and specifications.
  • Comfortable using technology, including smart phones and computers.
  • Experience with restaurant/retail/office/educational/medial construction projects is preferred.
  • Experience assisting with projects valued at $50,000.00 – $ 5,000,000.00 preferred.
  • Positive attitude and ability to work as a team player.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and in a professional manner.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to effectively prioritize tasks.
