Job description

The Cohort Project Coordinator plays a crucial role in the successful planning, implementation, and management of the Multi-Faith Women's Cohort program.

About Minaret Foundation

Our mission is to help people of faith become better neighbors. Our vision is to see a world where our faith communities celebrate each other as the norm, rather than the exception.

About the Multi-Faith Women's Cohort

The Multi-Faith Women's Cohort brings together a group of women from Houston's landscape of faith communities to build sustainable relationships using an issue of shared concern as the focal point. This ten-month program aims to foster understanding, equip participants with leadership skills, and develop collaborative solutions.

"Pursue something so important that even if you fail, the world is better off with you having tried." - Tim O'Reilly

General Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the ‘Master Weaver’, helping to coordinate relationships and the social environment of the program through the duration of the pilot and the following iterations.
  • Coordinate the logistics and scheduling for all program stages.
  • Assist in participant recruitment, communication, and ongoing engagement throughout the ten-month program.
  • Collaborate with our team to plan and execute each meeting, encompassing communication, education, logistics, and measurement and evaluation.
  • Prepare program materials, manage documentation, and track progress towards program goals.
  • Facilitate communication between participants, facilitators, stakeholders, and Minaret Foundation staff.
  • Support program evaluation and reporting activities.

Required Qualifications:

  • Respect, appreciation, and/or curiosity for ALL faith traditions, ideologies, and political leanings.
  • Proven experience in project coordination, event planning, or program management.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
  • Creative and innovative, the ability to see alternatives and solutions.
  • Ability to multitask effectively and balance priorities in an ever-changing, fast-moving, time-sensitive environment.
  • Ability to manage time efficiently and operate with little oversight and minimal direction.

We recognize that everyone is different and that the way in which people want to work and deliver at their best is different for everyone, too. In this role, we offer the following workplace conditions:

  • Remote, forever. Our organization has always been remote, and we have no plans on taking on office space.
  • Flexible hours. Our staff has the flexibility to design their schedules between Monday through Thursday and anywhere from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm (CST).
  • Four-day work week. We believe in long weekends and more time for yourself! Our office hours are only Monday - Thursday. Work on the weekends is by event or project.
  • Parent, child, and student-friendly. Do you have an exam coming up, taking care of an elderly parent, or need to be there for your children? Do what you need. No questions asked.
  • Values and morals driven. Our work is driven by our faith values and rooted in the idea that we should help all people, regardless of our differences. No matter your position with us, you will be in a role to help effect change.
  • No door policy. Power is gained by sharing knowledge, not hoarding it. Everyone has open access to anyone in the organization and can influence projects.

Compensation and Benefits:

This position is remote, part-time, between 12 - 15 hours a week, with the possibility of additional hours within two months of hire. The hourly wage is between $30 – $35/hour. Paid family leave, 20+ days of paid holiday leave, two weeks of paid time off (PTO), and Gympass are among the benefits each part-time employee enjoys. While we are currently unable to provide healthcare assistance, we are actively working towards this goal, along with a range of additional benefits.
