Project Coordinator

Houston, Texas

Garver's growing Water team is looking to add a Project Coordinator to our Houston or Corpus Christi offices. No experience in the AEC industry is necessary, but the willingness to learn is a must.

Specifically, responsibilities will include supporting the engineering services of a variety of projects related to:

  • Water conveyance and distribution, including pump stations and storage facilities
  • Wastewater conveyance and collection, including lift stations and force mains
  • Pipeline inspection and rehabilitation
  • Water, Wastewater, Reuse master planning
  • Water, Wastewater, Reuse treatment facilities


In addition to design, this role will include coordination with other support disciplines, coordination with regulating agencies, and quality assurance and quality control. Periodic travel (<10%) will be on an as-needed basis for projects, conferences, marketing, and other duties.

The Project Coordinator will also assist the Regional Team in coordinating schedules, monitoring budgets, and ensuring the delivery of quality products adhere to Garver standardization.

This Project Coordinator will be responsible for:

  • Compiling documents, including word and excel files, for submittal to the client
  • Staff travel coordination and preparation
  • Drafting project correspondences
  • Prime and subconsultant contracting assistance
  • Client and subconsultant invoice distribution and filing
  • Assisting with project closeouts
  • Staff professional license(s) renewal
  • Document printing for submittal to the client and submittal coordination, including distribution
  • General administration tasks as directed
  • Interfacing with various client portals for secure file transfer and project milestone tracking
  • Coordination with utility companies and other vendors for obtaining project information
  • Initializing, organizing, and maintaining project files and folders on server
  • Document and report creation / formatting in Word, Excel, and Bluebeam


Requirements

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Bluebeam Revu
  • Bachelor's degree or previous experience in a Project Administrator or Finance role
  • Ability to work between multiple project types
  • Strong organization and time-management skills
