Job summary

ERock, a leader in distributed energy, seeks a Project Coordinator to ensure day‑to‑day activities are managed as the Project Manager focuses on strategic issues. The hybrid role is based at our Houston HQ and reports to the Project Coordinator Supervisor.

The ideal candidate will be innovative, collaborative, and capable of translating business challenges into actionable solutions in a fast‑moving environment. This position emphasizes trust, accountability, and cross‑functional influence.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or related experience required.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a relevant role.
  • Minimum 1 year technical field experience; energy & technology.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, presentation, and PM skills.
  • Ability to drive buy‑in and transform priorities while collaborating.

Responsibilities

  • Manage schedule activities and deliverables through all project phases.
  • Coordinate contractor registration and permitting activities.
  • Coordinate gas and electrical utility coordination with diverse groups.
  • Identify potential problems and work with PM to develop solutions.
  • Collaborate with procurement for materials and subcontracts requests.
  • Issue and manage document transmittals and related queries.
  • Maintain project paperwork, files, and current materials.
  • Communicate with engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams.
  • Create and maintain project documentation, plans, and reports.
  • Compile final project records for closeout.

Role Overview

The Project Coordinator is responsible for making sure the day‑to‑day activity and tasks are taken care of, so the Project Manager can focus on high‑level strategic issues and work to solve any problems that arise as the project progresses. What becomes critical in this role is the ability to coordinate a more diverse project portfolio.

The ideal candidate for the role will be an innovative, collaborative, and progressive leader with exceptional business acumen and the ability to translate business challenges into actionable solutions in a highly complex, rapidly evolving environment. You are someone who builds trust and credibility and inspires ERockers across the business. You are action‑oriented, resourceful, and approachable while also having the ability to influence and lead significant change. This is a hybrid role (3 to 4 days in office) based out of our headquarters in downtown Houston, TX and will report to the Project Coordinator Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities
  • Management of schedule activities and deliverables through all project phases
  • Coordination of contractor registration and permitting activities
  • Gas and Electrical utility coordination with a diverse group of organizations
  • Evaluating potential problems and work with project manager to develop solutions
  • Working closely with procurement for material & subcontractor requests for quote and purchase orders
  • Issuance and management of document transmittals and other project related queries
  • Managing project related paperwork by ensuring all necessary materials are current, properly filed and stored
  • Maintaining effective communication with engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning to ensure activity completion and reporting
  • Creating and maintaining comprehensive project documentation, plans and reports
  • Compiling final project records as part of project closeout process
Basic (Required) Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Related Experience
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a relevant role
  • Minimum 1 year technical field experience; specifically with energy & technology
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, presentation, and project management skills related to prioritizing and executing timely deliverables within timeline, scope, and budget
  • The ability to understand business needs to drive buy‑in among company leaders to enable transformation and advance strategic priorities while building rapport and fostering a collaborative working environment
  • Field travel required
  • Physical requirements and working conditions: Must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer, stamina to maintain attention to detail despite interruptions, strength to lift and carry files weighing up to 20 pounds; vision to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the phone
