Job summary

Lambert’s Cable Splicing is seeking an entry‑level Project Coordinator to assist the project manager with managing projects. The role focuses on reporting, documentation, and coordinating scheduling and invoicing to ensure project health.

You will interact with customers, track accruals, and work with internal teams to set up and manage projects in the accounting system while supporting operations to deliver on time and within budget.

Qualifications

  • Experience in telecom, construction, or utility related industries
  • Strong data entry skills
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word and Excel)
  • Ability to multi task and great attention to detail
  • Self-starter with effective communication skills
  • Authorized to work in the United States for this company
  • 18 years or older

Responsibilities

  • Provide meaningful and timely reports using KPIs to aid in managing project health
  • Develop, maintain and update project documentation
  • Develop and maintain program file system (physical and electronic)
  • Contact customers to obtain project specific information
  • Complete project close-out per company standards
  • Track accruals weekly and submit at week’s end
  • Schedule work and crew make-ups with scheduler for internal and external use
  • Review invoices from subcontractors for production and accurate accounting
  • Work with Accounts Receivable and Billing to ensure revenue is accurate
  • Forecast month and year for each project and program
  • Create purchase orders
  • Set up projects in accounting system with internal support groups
  • Remove obstacles and empower Operations to succeed
  • Monitor project progress, risk and customer experience quality
  • Manage project level activities including critical path monitoring, procurement, resource loading, forecasting, conflict resolution and risk mitigation
  • Identify and resolve potential issues before they become problems
  • Lead efforts to gather project status for stakeholders

What you’ll do

You will utilize and provide to management meaningful and timely reports using key performance indicators to aid in managing the health of the project

You will develop, maintain and update project documentation

You will develop and maintain program file system (physical and electronic)

You will contact customers to obtain project specific information

You will complete project close-out per company standards

You will track accruals weekly and turn in at the end of every week

You will schedule work and crew make ups with scheduler for internal and external use

You will review invoices from subcontractors to confirm production and accurate accounting

You will work with Accounts Receivable and Billing Department to make sure all revenue is accounted for and accurate

You will forecast month and year for each project and program

You will create purchase orders

You will work with internal support groups (Finance & Accounting, Billing, etc.) to set up projects in accounting system

You will remove obstacles and empowering Operations to be successful

You will constantly manage and monitor project progress, risk and the quality of the customer experience

  • You will manage project level activities which include but is not limited to critical path monitoring/alignment, procurement, resource loading/forecasting/conflict resolution and critical path risk identification/mitigation

You will proactively identify and resolve potential issues before they become problems

You will lead efforts to gather all project level status to report on project status to all stakeholders
