We are seeking a Project Controls Specialist to support our Federal Environmental and Construction, or Commercial Construction business units. The role involves developing and maintaining cost/schedule control tools, providing project performance data, and supporting project management to ensure timely and profitable project completion.

This position requires US Citizenship and the ability to obtain a security clearance.

Location: Remote, US

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing project controls support for complex and high-risk projects.
  • Managing cost and schedule reporting for multiple delivery orders.
  • Participating in project kickoff meetings and developing control systems with project teams.
  • Documenting procedures specific to each project or program.
  • Preparing profitability models to analyze project contribution and profitability.
  • Developing and maintaining accurate cost and resource-loaded schedules.
  • Gathering data from project team interviews and projecting costs and schedules.
  • Creating reports to assist project managers in decision-making to enhance profitability and client satisfaction.
  • Supporting resource allocation for management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree plus at least 2 years of experience in project controls or project engineering in federal environmental/construction or commercial construction.
  • Proficiency in CPM scheduling software (preferably Primavera), Microsoft Excel, and Access.

Autonomy and Skills:

  • Making decisions on techniques, software, and reporting to manage project risks and profitability.
  • Interfacing with technical disciplines, procurement, contracts, and project support staff.
  • Participating actively in project meetings and preparing client deliverables.
  • Utilizing experience to assist project managers in decision-making with a high degree of independence.
