Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Project Controls Specialist to support construction projects across the U.S. You will develop cost and schedule baselines, collect monthly progress, and assist in variance analysis while ensuring safety and control compliance.

The role requires coordinating with project managers, updating forecasts, and generating standardized management reports. Travel may be 10% or less; a Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of related experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 3 years of related experience.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with internal procedures and applicable federal/government regulations.
• Gather project progress information to update and monitor projects of basic to moderate complexity.
• Develop time-phased project cost and resource forecasts; validate project costs as needed.
• Monitor progress of deliverables and actual expenditures versus forecasts.
• Perform performance reporting using Earned Value Management (EVM).
• Document and assess the impact of project changes on cost and schedule baselines.
