Job summary

Banda Group International is seeking a senior Project Controls professional to support EVMS and project controls systems at Los Alamos, NM. The role requires leadership in cost engineering, scheduling, and analysis with substantial independence.

You will develop integrated schedules with Primavera P6, perform cost analysis, and report using Deltek Cobra in a restricted environment. A Bachelor's degree, 8+ years of experience, and DOE Q clearance (or ability to obtain) are required.

Responsibilities

• Support implementation and maintenance of the EVMS and Project Controls System.
• Perform cost estimating, cost analysis, cost control, forecasting, and related project controls activities.
• Develop, maintain, monitor, and analyze integrated project schedules using Primavera P6.
• Evaluate project performance, identify cost and schedule trends, and communicate issues requiring management attention.
• Perform schedule development, status updates, progress monitoring, variance analysis, and corrective-action support.
• Provide technical direction and supervision for cost engineering and planning/scheduling activities.
• Ensure assigned project controls work is completed accurately and on schedule.
• Coordinate with project management, engineering, construction, and other stakeholders.
• Develop solutions to complex project controls issues using independent judgement and analysis.
• Coordinate activities of other personnel and contribute to improvements of controls methods.
• Work with Deltek Cobra for EVMS/cost processing and reporting in a restricted red-network environment.

The Project Controls 3professional supports the Laboratory's Earned Value Management System (EVMS)and Project Controls System through advanced cost engineering, estimating,scheduling, analysis, and control. This senior-level position works with significantindependence to resolve complex project controls issues, identify trendsrequiring management attention, and provide technical direction to projectcontrols personnel as delegated.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and a minimum of eight yearsof related experience, or an equivalent combination of education andexperience.
• Advanced experience performing, monitoring, and reviewing project planning, scheduling, cost engineering, cost estimating, costcontrol, and cost analysis functions.
• Hands-on Primavera P6 experience, includingschedule development, maintenance, monitoring, and analysis.
• Advanced knowledge of Earned Value ManagementSystem (EVMS) tools, processes, and project performance measurement.
• Experience with Deltek Cobra administration andbackend software capabilities, including the ability to work with Cobra in arestricted/red-network environment.
• Knowledge of engineering and constructionmanagement practices acquired through specialized instruction and/or practicalexperience.
• Proficiency with multiple project controlssoftware applications, personal computer operating systems, and standardbusiness software.
• Strong written and verbal communication skillsand the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical personnel.
• Ability to work full-time on-site in Los Alamos,New Mexico on a 4/10 schedule.
• Active Q clearance or ability to obtain andmaintain a DOE Q clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced Deltek Cobra administration experience,including backend configuration or software capabilities.
• Prior experience using Cobra and projectcontrols tools on a classified or restricted red network.
• Experience supporting DOE/NNSA or other highlyregulated government projects.
• Post-graduate coursework in project management,engineering, construction management, business, or a related discipline.
• Experience supervising, training, or providingtechnical direction to project controls personnel.
