Job summary

Management Solutions, LLC is seeking a Project Controls Specialist to support USACE Alaska. The role entails tracking and reporting on project costs and schedules, performing data integration across PROMIS, CEFMS, and RMS, and ensuring timely updates for program reviews.

Qualifications

  • Competency in cost and schedule control.

  • Strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • High emotional intelligence and relationship-building.
  • Government experience and PMP or similar certification preferred.
  • Knowledge of Power BI and Qlik Sense tools.

Responsibilities

  • Update projects in Primavera P6 Web with data integration to CEFMS and RMS.
  • Add new projects to PROMIS and maintain data per HQ guidance.
  • Ensure timely updates for PRB, CMR, DMR, or USACE presentations.
  • Maintain, validate, and report project data within PROMIS and related systems.
  • Develop and analyze project cost and schedule data for variances and forecasting.
  • Monitor progress against baselines and forecasts.
  • Prepare reports and visualizations for program governance.

Position Overview

MSLLC is seeking a qualified Project Controls Specialist to support the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE)Alaska.

The Project Controls Specialist willassistthe government in tracking andmonitoringoverall project costs, supporting the project management team with monthly tracking, maintenance, and reporting of project-related data. This work helps theDistrictmaintain awareness of project spending and promotes positive performance in alignment with USACE metrics and reporting requirements.

This position will also perform project controls and analysis services for the Project Management Automated Information System (P2) and related systems, ensuringaccuratedata integration and reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct project updates in Primavera Project Manager/P6 Web, ensuring data integration with the Corps of Engineers Financial Management System (CEFMS) and Resident Management System (RMS).

  • Add new projects to the PROMIS database andmaintaindatain accordance withHQ, Division, and District guidance.

  • Ensure project changes and updates are completedin a timely mannerfor Project Review Board (PRB), Command Management Review (CMR), Directorate Management Review (DMR),orother USACE-required presentations.

  • Support the maintenance, validation, and reporting of project data within PROMIS and related systems.

  • Develop and analyze project cost and schedule data, supporting the project manager in assessing variances, performance, and forecasting.

  • Monitor progress of project deliverables and expenditures against baselines and forecasts.

  • Prepare and present reports to communicate cost and schedule status.

  • Develop reports and visualization tools toassistmanagement with program management. This includes but is not limited to the development of data queries,reportsand visualizations that provide project and program governance and management.

  • Ensure compliance with internal procedures, contractual specifications, and government regulations.

RequiredQualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, ora relatedfield preferred.

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of projectcontrolsexperience.

  • Intermediate to advanced user of Primavera P6.

  • Competency in both schedule and cost control.

  • Intermediate understanding of project management principles.

  • Advancedproficiencyin Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

  • Strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.

  • High emotional intelligence with the ability to build relationships and foster a continuous improvement environment.

  • Government experience and PMP or similar certification preferred.

  • Knowledge of visualization tools such asPowerBIandQlikSensetoolsis preferred.

Work Authorization

U.S. Citizenshiprequiredue to federal contract requirements.

Working Conditions

This position is primarily performed in an office environmentora home office setting. Employees willbe requiredto use a computer and other office equipment for extended periods.
