Job description

ARES Corporation is seeking a motivated individual to join our Flight Operations Project Control Team supporting the Johnson Space Center. The Project Control Specialist manages financial and administrative aspects of assigned contracts and deliverables. Responsibilities include tracking and validating client financial information, maintaining master contract files, preparing and monitoring deliverables, tracking contract values, and reporting government fee payments. The role also involves updating task reports with funding data and preparing revenue projections for active contract task orders. The specialist uses automated systems to track deliverables, financial transactions, and management information, providing project support and integration with Program, Center, and Agency systems.

Functional Responsibilities:

1. Support financial database functions and Working Groups.
2. Assist in testing, upgrades, and maintenance of FOD’s project information system.
3. Organize, input, process, and maintain configuration control of financial and resources data.
4. Provide program and JSC reports on cost and labor elements—monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual—including support for QBR, PMR, TCSR, FY Operating Plan, and re-phased OP.
5. Retrieve data, perform searches, and generate management reports.
6. Document processes, roles, and responsibilities for baseline change and integrity maintenance of systems like Athena and SPICE.
7. Maintain training documentation.
8. Provide help desk support.

Qualifications:

• Experience with government development and/or operational programs.
• Familiarity with the International Space Station Program.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Science or Arts with 3+ years of relevant experience.
